I bought these lights 8 months ago to replace another set. They were installed on a deck to add light without having a light fixture and they looked great - they threw a decent amount of diffuse light. However, one section died within a month or two and now the entire strand is dead. Didn't expect them to last forever, but did expect more than 8 months out of them. I don't think weather was a factor as they were under an overhang. Just a waste - would have paid more to have them last longer.I used these to add a little extra warmth under a raised-bed cold frame garden and cloches when the temperature dipped below 40F at night. The first night they worked, the 2nd part of a strand died. I used a light tester and checked for burnt bulbs-- didn't find any but replaced the ones on each end of the dark part anyway. Third night they worked again after I wiggled the line. It appears to be a picky interior wiring issue, like when the copper gets bent too far. I haven't decided if it's worth it to return them since Christmas lights are notoriously full of fail, anyway, and I only need them a few nights a year.I don't expect they would help any plants that aren't covered, but everything near them survived and my tomatoes still have flowers. They are very warm, you can feel it as soon as you plug them in, but they're not as reliable as I had hoped.--The HoomanSections of these lights continually burn out which is annoyingperfect for what I needed.I use these lights indoors in my apartment and I love them. They were a little pricier than what I was hoping to find but I think it was worth it. They’re a bright, warm light and I love the look it adds to my apartment. I have a feeling they’ll last a long time.Look greatThey are nice but did not last long! need to order more now but , I am hesitant to do so because they are not very durable compared to lights I have bought in the past!All of the lights didn’t work from the start
