It will flicker but won't work. Piece of junk. 2 different sets, both the sameSo, functionally wise these are great. The remote works well, they're bright but not too bright to be annoying, and the included Edison-esque bulbs put out a very nice light. The different modes, I can live without, personally, unless it's Halloween, in which case the flickering bulb effect might be handy. Other than that, I can live without the strobe effects. No thanks.Please note to be VERY CAREFUL when screwing the bulbs in. I was twisting one of these into the socket and it shattered in my hand. It wasn't even in all the way. Luckily, I wasn't cut. However, I'm not entirely certain these bulbs are plastic. They sure seemed like glass to me. Either way, they're not the most durable of bulbs, so please take care screwing these in, and perhaps even wear gloves.Quite recommended, just be cautious with the bulbs.Bright, Durable and so easy to use with remote. These lights are great. We got two sets to supplement our existing set and set up a zig-zag pattern on our 30'x10' balcony. We LOVE the remote control - before we had to plug & unplug the strands from our exterior outlet but now it is a simple remote action and done. We were able to put our old strand in the middle and it now goes on/off with the remote too! They are durable and plenty bright.These LED String Lights are beautiful in person and make any space look more warm and inviting. They are rated IP67 waterproof so they are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. We are going to set them up on our pergola this summer and I just know they are going to look amazing! They are exactly what I wanted but at a fraction of the price than what you would find at big box stores. We already purchased another set so we can hang them all the way around.The remote is very handy so you can turn the lights on/off and control the brightness. It also has a timer function which you can set for 5,10, 30 or 60 minutes. I think the 5 and 10 minute timers are a little silly and would have liked to see 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes instead but that’s just a personal preference.The bulbs are made from glass which are supposed to be shatterproof and they come with a spare bulb (just incase). This set also comes with a cap to cover the connector end if you plan on only using one string. I am very impressed with the quality (even the cord feels nice and thick) and I like that they are very easy to set up. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reasonably priced, high quality LED String Lights.These lights are awesome; exactly what I wanted! I LOVE the vintage/industrial vibe they have and I am very pleased with the quality (so far). I haven't installed them on my balcony yet- its been too cold to linger outdoors- but I installed all the bulbs and tried plugging the string in so I could make sure it worked and to play around with it a bit. I am happy to say I've had no issues. Everything seems to be in working order and the remote functions well. It turns the lights on/off and allows me to adjust the brightness anyway, (amongst other things) which is all I personally care about. The set comes with a spare bulb and a cap for the connector end too, should you only plan to use one string. I am very pleased with this purchase. I'm no expert on the subject, but this set looks great and seems well built to me, so I expect it will hold up well. The only question I have now is how long the bulbs will last... time will tell.Easy to install and use. The bulbs come separate from the cord and are well packed in a separate box. Comes with an extra bulb which is nice incase 1 breaks as the bulbs are glass. Lots of different brightness settings from very dim to very bright. I mounted mine on my covered deck and they give plenty of light for barbecuing at night or the dimmer setting for sitting outside. They have a setting that make them blink on and off but I'm not to sure why you would need that but it's there if you want it. They are extendable if you want to attach another string of lights. The remote control is nice to be able to control the lights without having to go out to them.the Light strand is easy to set up and length matches the description. When unboxing there were some very strong off gases, but they dissipated in about 2 days. Biggest disappointment was that the bulbs were not plastic but instead glass. The box only had 1 extra instead of the stated two. Might have just been a quality control issue. but if you have a strong preference for one or the other, it may not be worth the risk.The remote works well, and the bulbs are bright. Glass bulbs in the end are not a deal breaker for me and I set up the light strand on my patio as I planned. If the product had matched the description I would have given it 4 stars. Remember there are more than 3 feet between each bulb.While it's been too cold to properly hang these lights outside, Ive been able to test them out inside at home and they have so far been pretty good. I think they will make a great addition to my deck in the summer time.The quality of the bulbs and the cabling seems pretty good and will probably hold up well to the outdoors. The material is quite thick and feels fairly robust.The bulbs are made of glass and not plastic which was a surprise, however they did arrive well packaged and secure.These will make a very nice addition to a backyard, and extra lighting is always helpful especially if we have to continue to have backyard gatherings this summer.
