I used this to illuminate a pathway and it rains a lot around here. So, not underwater, but definitely a lot of water. It's worked out great in the mean time. The chassis certainly seems to be brass as it has not rusted or corroded at all, and it's far heavier than anodized aluminum would be.Fit and finish on it are a little rough, but honestly, it still looks pretty good sitting in the garden.Comes with an extra glass lens which is great because I had no idea where you'd get a replacement if something broke it. But it's pretty thick, so I don't suspect that will be a problem for most people.
