air circulation in family roomI used these to replace large paddle fans that I had on my deck before. High winds destroyed the others. The smallness of the fan was a little bit of a worry of mine but they work great. I almost can't wait for a windstorm to happen so I can see if they hold up like I think they will. I did have to modify one the fans because the mount is made for flat ceilings and one of them I installed on a vaulted ceiling.This fan was pretty easy to put together, but be warned that the fan is only controlled by the remote and the lights are only controlled by a wall switch. There are several buttons in the remote that do nothing including the light dimmer. Once you start reading the instructions I believe it was the lights are dimmable via a dimmer switch. Also, once you turn the unit off from a wall switch the fan turns off, but you MUST use the remote to turn it back on, it does not come back on the to last setting like some ceiling fans.I can't speak for the installation because I had someone else do it. It looks great. I used LED 5w bulbs. It is REALLY bright at it's highest setting. The fan puts off a lot of air to be so small. I couldn't believe how powerful it is. I would definitely recommend it!Loved it and bought another one!!Great for a small room. Directions where easy to follow. Only reason for three stars is even with dimmable bulbs it doesn’t want to dim.I love the farmhouse look!I could tell the package had been opened and the fan put together and then taken apart and returned. The fan pieces didn’t fit together and I couldn’t put it together completely. I then had to take it apart and repackage it. The holes didn’t line up. Returned
