These lights are great, they were easy to install and, once I figured out the backing part, I was done in no time. Here's the thing, when you go to peel off the strip on the back, you're just pulling off the thin layer of film that covers the sticky part. If you aren't careful, the sticky part will pull off from the back of the lights, so make sure you take the time to just get the thin layer pulled up. I was able to do it easiest with my thumbnail on the side edges and then expand from there. It's also super easy to cut off a section. I lost my scissors and just grabbed a pocket knife and cut through the part that shows the little scissors for you to cut between.
