I used these on the fence around my butterfly garden.lasted about 2 years in the elements- I live in an area with harsh winters; very pretty, delicate looking lights.Took awhile to figure out that in order to change the mode of flash/no flash, the lights need to be on, meaning after dusk. Now instead of sporadic flashing and fading, the lights do a slow fade and are much more pleasing to look at. So far, so good.For me I need the item to look as good in the daytime as it does when it's lit up at night. I also think it would be easy to paint the wings with translucent glass paint on the wings to improve it for the daytime! I plan to do that myself?This was a gift that was received with delight!These are cheap and cheerful. The light quality is good, a soft orange. Unboxed them three weeks ago and hung them outside.
