I was concerned that these lights would not be bright enough to be noticeable along the perimeter of our backyard fence. I was happy to be dead-wrong, as they provide the perfect amount of subtle light. You certainly won't want to sit and read by them, but they are more than bright enough for me to find the dog in the dark and easily walk through the yard without worrying about tripping over anything. I also absolutely love the ambient effect they provide! They make sitting on the patio an entirely nicer experience than just staring into the darkness.Edit / Update (Sep. 2022 - 14 months after purchase): Since my wife & I were just commenting on these lights over the weekend I thought it was only fair to offer a follow-up endorsement. I purchased these lights specifically for a grad party we were hosting in July of 2021. They were a last-minute afterthought, and in all honesty, placed & installed somewhat hastily. I was happy that they worked well for the party, but still had no realistic expectations for them to provide long-term service. On the contrary, I'm happy to report that every single one of these lights is still working, and they are performing just as well as they were the day I put them up. I've not had to touch, adjust or modify them at any time; they still light our yard every evening when the sun goes down, and are still shining bright when we lock up and go to bed. These were a solid, subtle improvement to our property that I only wish we had added sooner!
