I set these lights out on the back fence during the summer for some ambiance...looked terrific! About 6 weeks or so later I noticed that 2 of the sets were not lasting thru the night the solar panel was "fogging" over and not getting enough power. Contacted company and even though it return time was way past they graciously sent me new sets! Quickly!I hung these around my kids playground and our covered patio but they aren't bright enough for the kids or I to feel secure with each step, it's bright enough to won't walk right into a slide but still casts alot of shadows and gives you that depth perception issue, I didn't put in the ground so they're hard to mount to postsI haven’t had these light ten months and now they are as dim as dark. Waste of money that I didn’t even get a year out of them. AWFUL AND DISAPPOINTING!! If you want temp light (3-6 months) then this is for you otherwise don’t waste your time. And I bought 3 packs. I feel stupid. The one strand you see lot os light from my back door light.Bought these a few months ago. We have numerous solar lights, but these still stay lit up long after all the others go dark each night. They last well into early morning.Not super bright, but perfect for nighttime ambiance outside and illuminating our covered breezeway.I draped these orange Halloween lights across my deck rail and they look great. The solar charger worked great the first day even though it didn’t get much sun that day and the lights were nice and bright. The lights continue to come on every night no matter how much sun it get during the day. The bulbs are clear during the day but turn orange when the lights come on. I will leave them up until after thanksgiving as the color is appropriate for both holidays. Will probably order more in other colors. They are great!!In the Instructions it says use the mounting kit but mine didn’t come with anything to mount it so gotta figure that out but I do like it, brightness isn’t too bright but it’s good for our patio. Can’t wait to put it up.I took 1 star off fr. the rating since the push button to both turn on/off & to change the light modes are not practical. Wish there's a separate switch to turn on & off, since it's difficult to know which push I had pushed that turns it on/off, especially when I was testing the different light modes. When I first received it & hung it up, I just had to take a chance that the very 1st push is to turn it on & was hoping all Afternoon that I had it out under the sun, it was getting charged.Honestly, I was a bit skeptical reading the reviews before making a purchase. I've been having it hung up since mid-May & it's still working. Hence, I'm hopeful that it will last pretty long & continue to work well.As for the brightness, it depends on how hot the sun during the day was when it's being charged & for how long. However, I'm impressed that it stays on throughout the night, until sun rise.I live in N. CA & we have been in draught for many years so I can't comment on the waterproof feature.Overall, I'd recommend this. I plan to buy another one soon.Very cute and well made lights, but they are a bit dim despite being fully charged each day. I wanted more of a warm glow like the photos, and they are about half as bright as I wanted them to be and not as warm. I still like them, just wish they had a bit more oomph.Having long ago purchased a very disappointing set of "solar" lights that would not charge unless there was 12 straight hours of sunshine, I had pretty low expectations for these. What a wonderful buy these lights are! They charge up, even in overcast conditions and they stay on ALL NIGHT. I mean, literally from the minute it gets dark until the sun comes up. Highly recommend. There is no remote, so make sure you can reach the solar panel to cycle through the different settings the first time it gets dark. Once you find your preferred setting, it remembers that one.UPDATE: I got these lights in April and installed them in May. I was very happy with them, but last night, only 3 of the lights were working. I have been using these ONE MONTH and now they are useless. I am extremely disappointed. The solar panel is in the right place and was powering the lights for hours all night long. I don't understand how these would just stop working, and how 3 lights would continue to shine.I contacted seller and they responded SUPER FAST. They sent replacement set within days. Hopefully these will last.LATEST UPDATE: Replacement set has been installed since late May, it is now September, and they are still going strong!I bought these August 2021. Initially they worked as expected and looked great in my garden. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they were working at the start as there wasn't always a good stretch of daylight. I had them on the setting that kept them fully on and after a while they randomly set themselves which became really annoying. Here we are in July 2022 and they don't light up at all, like nothing. So I'd expect them to have lasted longer than they have, they are now destined for the bin. Why the 1 star? Because 1, they don't keep to their setting. 2, the solar panel doesn't seem to be receptive anymore. 3, I expected them to last longer than 11 months. 4, they don't work at all now. The 1 star was for the time that they did work - when that happened they were pretty damned good :)These stopped working after only 8 months in the garden. Thought it might be the battery needing replaced but on opening the box it was obvious water had got in.I realise this was a cheap product but expected it to last a bit longer.The lights were good while they lasted.Good bright lights until they failed !Investigation showed the box had water in it . I changed the battery but still dead.Very disappointed.
