I bought my first set of these for service along stone walls that lead down to the porch (we live in the bottom unit of a condo). I had added flowerpots to the top of the walls, planters among the river rocks on the ground and I wanted to add some excitement. They were perfect and much to my surprise lasted through our entire Ohio winter. One strand is going strong still. Its twin strand was severed by a baby goose who either sniped it with his beak or pulled it against a catch in the stone. Having only one wall lit was unattractive, so I bought the same product again and put the original strand decoratively throughout the ground stones. Then I added the two new strands to the wall. It looks beautiful! I chose the slow dim to light mode, there are many, and it looks like fireflys in the garden. I'm only sorry it isn't night so I can show you. These lights are a terrific value.My only annoyance with the product is that when they wrap them for shipping in China, they evidently take the end of the string, bring it up to the beginning and then start wrapping it around the packing cardboard. Easier for them, devilish for me. (A Communist plot personally directed at me because of the trade war? Probably not.). Since they are tiny copper wires made to bend around whatever you want highlighted and they twist easily, the first part of the project takes some careful and time-consuming unwrapping. It's better handled with two people, but since I was doing it alone, I figured out a system that worked. I used two cardboard cylinders (such as paper towel or wrapping paper tubes – stronger tubes if you have them), undoing the packing cardboard a little at a time and winding the wires carefully – first on first one tube and then the other - until I was finished with a strand. From time to time, I lightly taped the wrapped wire in place on the cylinders to keep my careful winding from springing loose. During installation I kept the “end” cylinder firmly down my shirt (pocket too small) while starting the installation with the “beginning” tube until it was completely unwound, and I could continue with the one in my shirt. It might have been amusing to my neighbors, but the practice didn't expose unwanted areas on my person since I didn't dislodge the second until I was finished with the first. Once I got going it was easy to install.If anymore wandering geese from our pond take a notion to explore the solar panels to their wiring’s demise, I will definitely buy these again regardless of the wrapping problem and probable high cost of impending tariffs.
